Approach
CenExel asked for transit ads built around a comic book theme to help their message stand out in busy transit environments while encouraging more people to join clinical research studies. I designed a series of bold, high-energy layouts using halftone textures, vibrant pop-art colors, and comic-inspired elements such as speech bubbles and a pointing hand to direct attention to the call to action. Strong typography and a palette of bright blues, reds, and yellows created high contrast and ensured quick readability for commuters moving through stations or passing ads in transit. The design combined playful visual storytelling with clear messaging to make the opportunity to participate in research feel approachable and easy to understand at a glance.
